Route Card Notification

If you are planning a walk in the Galloway area you can send your Route Card to Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary using this system. We encourage you to send a Route Card each time you venture into the hills. If you should require assistance, the information you submit will be vitally important to any search management.

Simple to Use....
(1) Complete your online Route Card and submit this information to Galloway MRT.
(2) Once you have completed the online Route Card - Print a Windscreen Notice to leave on your car window.
(3) Place the notice in a visible location in your car when you leave to enjoy your walk.
IMPORTANT - Please also leave your Route Card with a family member, friend or other responsible person eg - Hotelier, Caravan Park Reception, B&B Proprietor.

The e-Route Card system is provided in association with Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary and is supported by Dumfries and Galloway Tourist Board.

PRIVACY POLICY
Details are sent to Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary Force Communication Centre. The data will be recorded but only utilised by the police to co-ordinate any search management in the event you require assistance.
The information you submit will not be shared or accessed by any third party. Galloway MRT provides this service to enable a more focused rescue operation in the event that you fail to arrive at your destination and are subsequently reported missing.
The information you provide will be used for no other purpose.
