£20,000 Anonymous

Donation buys new VW

An anonymous £20,000 private donation was matched by St. John Scotland to make possible the purchase of a new VW Transporter 4x4 ambulance.  It was unveiled by Sir Malcolm Ross, Prior of St. John Scotland, on 22nd November 2014

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have very kindly agreed a partnership arrangement which allows us to garage our new rescue vehicle at Castle Douglas Fire Station.  We greatly appreciate their support as it means our investment is protected from the outset and we can respond to emergency calls more efficiently.
