The Order of St John
are supporting all Mountain Rescue Teams in Scotland
through funding vehicles and mountain rescue posts.
The Galloway Team were presented with a VW transporter
in August 2002 which is a very welcome resource for
helping with the deployment of members but also as an
additional equipment base.

who kindly bought the Team new 1:25000 and 1:50000 maps
of Dumfries and Galloway costing £350.
Zenith North Productions filmed the popular 'Two Thousand
Acres of Sky' BBC drama series in our area.
